The “Urban Stitch” project emerges from the backdrop of an international urban design competition aimed at reimagining and regenerating the Karow-Kreuz (Berlin) neighborhood, a locality currently divided and shaped significantly by its railway infrastructure. The overarching vision behind this endeavor is not just to create a functional urban space but to weave the fragmented fabric of the city into a coherent, vibrant, and sustainable whole.
The competition, and by extension, this project, provides a unique opportunity to tackle urban design challenges within the Karow-Kreuz precinct, bridging divides and fostering connections both physically and socially.
